As founder and principal of Gerontology in Action (GIA), Maria Siciliano brings over 25 years of experience in higher education as lecturer, writer, researcher, successful National Science Foundation grant writer, project manager, and facilitator. She has held senior staff positions at the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of Washington College of Engineering. She also served as a consultant to the San Jose State University Foundation and taught public policy and gerontology courses at USC. In addition to her work at GIA, Ms. Siciliano develops and teaches film and literature courses to older adults at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UCLA Extension.
Ms. Siciliano earned a bachelor of arts in English from Wellesley College; a master in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government; and a master of science in gerontology from the USC Davis School of Gerontology.
